Materials: Medical-grade (ASTM F-136) titanium with cubic zirconia crystals. Hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin.
Finish: Our jewelry is bonded with Titanium Nitride PVD to best match your 14k gold and Platinum PVD to match your fine silver jewelry. Titanium nitride is a hypoallergenic material that is more durable and resistant to wear than traditional gold plating. PVD coating is also more environmentally friendly than traditional plating.
Care: Earring backings feature a silicone core for a comfortable, secure fit. To keep them performing at their best, avoid prolonged exposure to cosmetics and direct heat. Remove and clean your earrings weekly to prevent buildup from body oils and everyday wear. Waterproof and tarnish resistant. To maintain shine, polish with a soft cloth.

Most people wear our standard (6mm) backing comfortably. If your ears are thinner, or you find that your earrings are drooping, you may prefer a short (4mm) backing. I got these as an alternative to flatbacks. I love flatbacks (nap earrings) but they as slightly more putzy to put in, sometime I drop parts while trying to put in, etc. I was intrigued by these backs as they are not your typical uncomfortable butterfly backs. I do really like them, they glide on smoothly and don't "collect crusties" like butterfly backs do. They do however still have a little poky bit that comes out the back. I still keep them in at night, I just need to readjust sometimes. I kind of wonder if I could nip the posts so they're a little bit shorter but I don't want to wreck my nice earrings ^^;
